Applied Behavior Analysis
The Autism Centers of Michigan's approach consists of a collaborative effort between our Board Certified Behavior Analysts, ABA Technician, and parent/caretakers to achieve the hours of intervention needed for the most success. Our BCBA's develop individualize treatment plans for our clients while overseeing the programs implemented by ABA Techs and parents/caretakers. The Autism Center’s BCBAs use instruction, training, supervision, and feedback systems to ensure quality service delivery by our ABA Techs. In addition, our BCBA's provide the necessary instruction, practice, and feedback so that a parent/caretaker will be both fluent and comfortable implementing the learning activities within a child’s treatment plan. A data-based process is used to evaluate performance in order to achieve the most efficient acquisition of target performances.
The Autism Centers of Michigan are committed to delivering quality Applied Behavior Analysis services. All of our ABA Techs are trained in Applied Behavior Analysis principles and trained to implement every treatment program. In addition to training, our ABA Techs are also closely supervised. Our BCBA's provide direct supervision with each Tech for 2-3 hours each week. In addition, our ABA Techs delivering center-based services are under periodic video surveillance and our BCBAs closely monitor these services; parents/caretakers wishing to view the center-based ABA sessions will be able to do so at the center as well. We pride ourselves in conducting meetings for staff collaboration, during which our ABA Techs undergo performance reviews and receive additional training.
